Particulars about the Big Walk

Before the Jubilee year ends, there are still many things that you need to look forward to. There’s the Big Walk and the Christmas for instance. In this case, you need to focus on the task at hand – the Big Walk. The Big Walk will be this November. Many Singaporeans are looking forward to it.

Here are some highlights that you should expect from the event:

  • Goodies: The Big Walk is not your usual walk. Participants will be given goodies worth $800. The goody bags will contain limited edition shirt, beauty and spa treats and more importantly a commemorative metal.
  • Walk with time: The walk is a learning experience. The aim of the activity is to reconnect the past, live the present and look forward to the future. The highlight is Singapore Story that will cover historical locations from the Marina Bay to Merlion Park, Marina Promenade and the Esplanade Theatres. The route will also cover the National Museum of Singapore and Gardens by the Bay.

  • Registration: The normal registration price is worth S$28. You can bring along your kids. As for kids under the age of three, registration is free. The best thing is that there is no minimum or maximum age to join the walk. As long as you are able to walk or with a guardian, you are free to join.

As the year approaches its end, you should reflect on how lucky you are for being here to celebrate the golden years abundantly. Though Singapore lost one influential man this year, he will be remembered and sorely missed.
