International Tourism

Recognizing the growing status of Singapore as a tourist destination and also as a lucrative area for investment, the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) partnered with Daytons Direct and Suntec Singapore to organize an Associations Day. ASAE’s arrangement for the organization of Associations Day was supported by the Singapore Tourism Board. It is the only conference that is held at the moment which hosts a major employment show within Asia that will focus on meetings of the association, and will provide the delegates attending the conference an opportunity to meet people from across the globe who share the interests as they do and also provide them with exclusive networking proceedings. It looks forward to bring people together from various strata – travel and tourism, trade and investment and many more.

The business travel sector of Singapore hopes to experience a further rise in the number of business travelers in the coming years. According to the reports released by the UN World Tourist Organization, Asia and the Middle East with an emphasis on Singapore is expected to witness a growth of 7% to 9% of the arrival of international tourists. With this optimistic forecast of the increase in the number of tourists, it is expected that the international business travel expenditure will be around US $1.2 trillion by 2014.
